He spent over four hours on the site and left no stone unturned. We were present during the inspection and he took the time to explain everything to us. When there was an issue, he was able to explain it in a clear terms and give a good frame of reference, as well as possible courses of action. For example, the heat pump at the house was 21 years old. My gut reaction was that obviously, that needs to be replaced. He put it in perspective, saying that maintenance can allow these systems to function beyond their expected lifespan. He was able to point out that there was exterior damage to the heat pump, and that it was overtly off balance, and those were not positive indicators of good care. He said that we may be able to get by with some repair for a while, but we would need to weigh the increasing cost of repair against just replacing the system. Just very rational, level-headed advice, and I felt fully confident in his assessment of the property.
