I am an experienced home inspector, contractor, and native of New Jersey. I have spent many decades gaining experience specific to what I do for my clients – Providing high quality home inspections.

I have been inspecting, building, and repairing homes for over 20 years now. I often see issues on a home inspection and, without a second thought, know exactly what needs to be done – because most of the time I have repaired that exact type of issue with my own two hands. This type of experience can’t be learned in a book, can’t be rushed, and takes a lot of dedication and hard work.

I recommend him to all my buyers and they are COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH HIS SERVICE. He is an expert in his field and he “GOES THE EXTRA MILE” to explain to the buyers what issues there ARE IN THE HOUSE and what MIGHT OCCUR.

Overall great experience. Alan Cross is very thorough and knowledgeable. I used him for my own homes as well as refer him to my real estate clients. Also. He us reasonably priced. His follow up and report writing is very clear and effective. I would continue to recommend him.

I had a “pleasure” to work with Alan Cross on my recent home purchase. I am very surprised by the great reviews I read here, I cannot agree unfortunately. Also, I have to say that it is not my first home purchase and other reviewers may not know what good home inspection looks like. If you are going to use his services please keep in mind that his report is just a template with general phrases that can be used for any property and do not really mean anything (ask for an example before the service). Every section of the report says that you need to contact an electrician, plumber..some other professional for further review (he himself would not make any recommendations, I am confused what is his purpose then??). During the inspection I had to ask to check outlets, lights and other things, something that inspector should know to do.
