Andrus Home Inspectors
Andrus Home Inspections is Jason Andrus. Jason has been buying, selling, and inspecting properties for 10+ years. Jason brings his years of experience to your inspection, providing you with what Jason’s clients say is the most comprehensive, detailed, and thorough of reports. He creates a report that not only helps you buy your home but will also be a reference for years to come. He does the hard work so you don’t have to: he climbs on roofs, he goes in attics, and he gets into crawlspaces. His reports include detailed descriptions and plenty of pictures because Jason believes a picture is worth 1000 words. In the summary of the report there will be no confusion between what is urgently in need of repair and what you should be aware of but no immediate repairs are needed. Proceed with your home purchase with confidence, and with the help of your agent, use your report to negotiate terms on your real estate contract.
Jason takes the time to make sure the inspection gets done right.
Thank you for doing this on short notice and bringing those things to my attention that were important and explaining them in a way that I could understand.
We hired Mr. Andrus to do our new home inspection after receiving two positive recommendations from others who previously used his services. We chose to go with him because he offered to come a second time for a free follow up visit to the original inspection. On the day of the first inspection, I arrived at the time he asked me to come. He was already in his truck ready to leave, but luckily I caught him. We stood outside the home in the front yard and I asked questions, which were clearly answered. I made observations and asked him additional questions while walking around the outside of the home. I never was invited inside the home on that morning, as the family we were buying from was inside. I was disappointed that the sellers were there, and expected Mr. Andrus to have made arrangement with the sellers so they wouldn’t be there during my appointment time. I wanted to enter the home with Mr. Andrus to see things for myself and review his inspection findings together. A few days later, after the sellers removed many household items that obscured access to see the walls and electrical outlets, etc., my wife and I wished to see the home with Mr. Andrus present prior to signing final paperwork. We attempted to communicate with Mr. Andrus several times over the course of 5-6 days via text and phone to make a second appointment with him. Unfortunately, Mr. Andrus never communicated back to us to schedule a follow-up visit. I had to be proactive by requesting access to the home from our realtor. The realtor communicated with the sellers and arranged a time when the sellers would leave the home so that my wife and I could go inside. I essentially did my own inspection on rooms that could not be easily accessed during the first inspection because there was so much stuff in the way. This included checking electrical outlets, plumbing, and the condition of the basement drywall. In short, if Mr. Andrus was out of town or if his schedule was full during the time frame we needed him, we still expected him to communicate back with us. That didn’t happen, and we felt neglected by the person we hired to work for us. Unfortunately, we can’t recommend Mr. Andrus to others because he did not fully fulfill.
