At Appalachian Home Inspections, owner Dale Shockey operates the business with honesty and integrity. Regardless of whether you are the buyer, seller, bank, or who referred you to us, we handle all inspections thoroughly and according to industry standards.

All issues discovered are included in reports, even if a sale may be disrupted. It is my firm commitment to perform all inspections according to the highest standards. An unbiased inspection enables all parties to work together to achieve a satisfactory closing based on facts.

We were beyond satisfied with our experience with Appalachian Home Inspections. Dale was very knowledgeable and thorough with his inspection. He was courteous, punctual, honest, professional, and fair. He gave us valuable information about our home and about ways to make necessary repairs easier and more affordable. Being first-time home buyers, this was much appreciated. He even sent us information after the inspection about a place that he found some inexpensive materials that we might be able to use! Very thoughtful, and certainly beyond our expectations. He had a drone that he used to take pictures of the roof, chimneys, and gutters, which was really useful for us as the roof is in need of repair. These pictures gave us a much better idea of what would be required, and also gave us images we could send to contractors when attaining estimates for repairs.

If you need a home inspection completed, I strongly suggest you contact Dale, he is highly knowledgeable, does incredibly in depth work, not only will you receive a thorough inspection and recommendations but he also included information above and beyond what he needed to. Dale is a friendly and knowledgeable person who is happy to go over the report with you if needed and was always available to answer questions. By far the best home inspection we have ever had completed.
