In 2006, Lighthouse Property Inspections was born, out of the passion for helping others have a clear understanding when they purchase a home. He still remembers when he and his wife purchased their first home, over 25 years ago. At the time, not knowing any better, he thought that all home inspection reports were a couple of pages of hard to read data. He resolved that all of his inspection reports will be computerized, easy to read and as thorough as possible. So, when you work with Scott, you can rest assured that your inspection report will contain plenty of images, all the contents will be in laymen’s terms and will be easy to understand. Scott goes over and above to provide you with the tools to help you during your buying process. That is why he prints your report onsite, stores the documents in a three-ring binder and includes a home owner’s operators handbook, plus you will receive an email copy of the report for future reference.
Does an excellent job going over the house and explaining everything in layman’s terms. Very informative and knows his stuff!! Plus its always good to support a small local business instead of a large corporation.
A wonderful home inspector in the Wichita area. Had multiple people who have enjoyed his customer experience as well as his very thorough inspections. Can’t beat great personable skills & great at what he does. Thank you Lonnie!! You the man
I would like to give him a good review but since I have spent about $10k fixing issues on our new home that he should have caught, I just can’t. It wasn’t just one miss either. There were literally 10 preventable items missed on our inspection. When I addressed this after the sale, he said he couldn’t help it that these things went downhill in the few months we had lived there. I disagreed, but said if it had been one item or even two, that might be the case, but 10? After a bit of back and forth, he said he would give us our money back to make up for it. He told me twice it was on the way. Clearly that was a lie. I still don’t have my money back, I have fixed over $10k in problems, and am so frustrated. He seemed like a nice guy but if you can’t afford for him to completely miss the things that are wrong with your property, you should steer clear.
