BPG inspectors perform comprehensive visual inspections involving a home’s major visible, structural and mechanical systems for homeowners and prospective buyers. BPG Inspectors adhere to the appropriate state licensing law for home inspections (where applicable) or a nationally recognized standard or practice for home inspections such as ASHI or NACHI standard. The items examined in a typical home inspection include the plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems, foundation, roof, exterior and interior structures and built-in appliances. The visual inspection culminates in a set of comprehensive, computer generated reports describing the condition of the items and systems inspected. Your digital report with photos will be delivered within 24 hours or less.
Jerry(Gerald) was so polite, comical, professional, and thorough with the inspection. He took his time and didn’t miss a thing. He is very trustworthy! My wife and I only got good vibes from him. It’s so crazy how some people opt out to getting an inspection prior to buying a home. I am so glad we went with BPG. I also want to thank our realtor, Tola for recommending this company !
I hired BPG to perform a home inspection on an older brick home in St. Louis. The inspector, Don Norman, completely missed a structural defect on the front of the home. The defect is in plain sight and was not called out in the inspection report. After noticing the defect I called BPG to file a claim. Their claims department has been anything but responsive, and always requires multiple phone calls and e-mails from me to get any information on my claim. When I finally did reach the claims agent, she informed me that BPG is refusing to cover the cost of the repair and suggested it “could be covered up with paint”, despite rotted wood along with brick that is bowing out from the home that needs to be replaced. I asked them to send out an inspector to look at the damage in-person and they refuse. Don Norman’s lack of attention to detail, along with BPG’s handling of the claim, are the reason I am giving them 1 star. I do not recommend using BPG for any home inspection unless you would prefer to be handicapped during contract negotiation.
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Bought a home that was inspected by Don Norman and was told the house was good. Within the first month we have found a roof leak that is damaging connected dry wall and the porch leaks into the basement, not to mention a list of other things not caught during inspection. Filed a claim and the claims adjuster was extremely unhelpful and refused to admit any of it was their responsibility. Don’t waste your time or money.
