Home inspection is an occupation that requires significant knowledge in all building trades. Courses teach the basics but experience and learning from experience takes time – and a lot of it. I have been inspecting for 30 years and have performed an estimated 5,000 home inspections in the Yankton, Vermillion and surrounding markets. CSI Home Inspections is THE MOST EXPERIENCED inspection company in the area. I was trained by my father, Pat O’Hara, who was one of 4 inspectors in South Dakota when he began and the only one in Yankton and Vermillion, at that time. In fact, my father and I assisted in writing the test inspectors now take to be licensed in South Dakota. In addition, I have 20 years of experience in the construction industry and a degree in Construction Technology which included studies dedicated to structural engineering.
