A septic system disposes of wastewater underground, and has two basic parts- a septic tank and an underground disposal field. The septic tank removes most solid wastes from the water. The heavier solids settle to the bottom of the tank where bacteria break down into sludge. Lighter wastes form a scum layer on top of the water. Cleaner water between the two layers flows into the disposal field. The disposal field filters and treats the wastewater by distributing it over a large underground area of coarse soil. When doing a septic inspection, our inspector will check the working level of the septic tank, as well as the size and condition of the tank.
Bill was amazing. Not only did he quote less than I expected, when the day came, he charged me less than the quote just because he was a couple of minutes late because he got a flat tire on the way. He was friendly and easy to talk to. He answered all of our questions. I feel like he gave us more info than we paid him for though, just through normal conversation. He also advised on way to make repairs. I can’t speak highly enough of Elite Home Inspection.
Bill was awesome was awesome knew what he was talking about, worked with my schedule and still offered to come help with some minor stuff that would need tweaking in the future. Would definitely recommend him to friends or family!
Bill Grimes inspected the home I purchased and said that it was very clean and everything was in working order. His main concern was that he could not “figure out” how to get into the attic. So we contacted the contractor and he went back a second time to “inspect”. What exactly it was that he inspected I will never know. I was sent a report that at the time I questioned immediately as it stated that there was roof damage(home has a brand new roof), floor damages(brand new flooring throughout). When I questioned that perhaps this was the wrong report or he uses an auto generated template and forgot to change it to reflect my home I was told by the realtor that was impossible. Come to find out that is exactly what happened. Due to Covid19 no one was allowed to be present in the home as he inspected which obviously seems reasonable.
