The whole car rental deal wasn’t actually bad but what makes it unpleasant was that the rental agent specifically told me that if I returned the car after 5 pm and as long as the keys were in the drop box before they opened the next morning that I wouldn’t be charged an extra day’s fee. So, I took my time to finish my work and dropped it off before 5:30 and when I got the bill I was charged anyway. Had the agent not said that, I would have left my work earlier and dropped the car off by 5 pm. Just feels shady like a bait and switch tactic that leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Not cool and not the best business practice

Petaluma location and staff are efficient, friendly, knowledgable and courteous. They took a lot of time with me to understand my needs, didn’t mind tons of questions, and dialed me right into the right vehicle. So grateful I took their advice as it made our vacation so much more pleasant and safe! IF you are thinking about a rent a car (near or far) I would go out of your way to work with the Petaluma location. They are above all the best from the others. My car was stolen so I went on a getaway with a friend, whose car broke down on the side of the freeway in 100*F weather. Manuel the manager was able to assist me promptly, find a vehicle and upgrade to a Mustang Convertible. As the situation unfolded, I was able communicate via email and keep in touch to extend and modify the rental agreement without any trouble. Highly recommend this location and appreciate the amazing service!
