I highly recommend Great Lakes Home Inspections. Mike was extremely thorough with our home inspection when we purchased a new house. He explained everything to us in great detail and wrote up an easy-to-understand report with plenty of photos. Used Mike to inspect my first commercial office building I now have purchased. His reviews were good and he seemed to have the credentials. The one thing I liked was he had another guy with him that did a thorough inspection of the roof. On the other hand Mike just casually walked around the building and took pictures trying to avoid getting dirty. No clip board or tools, just a camera. The building has about 6,000 sq ft of finished space and he was done in less than 2 hours. When he claimed he was done I called him out at how thorough you can inspect a building of this size in under 2 hours and he made some odd comment about betting me. My impression was that he was more concerned about getting out of there than doing a proper inspection. The inspection was on a friday but that is no excuse, if you are paid to do a job, do it well.
