Do not use this company. Inspections are not thorough and costly home repairs will be coming your way. (Rotting window sills, heavily damaged chimney) home inspection 101. Even had the nerve to call me later on that day after the scam of an inspection and ask me for another $100! He also disputes google reviews if it’s not a 5 star. Stay away.
This home inspector was our buyers choice. He came into our home for the buyers inspection and ripped/tore plastic and insulation and just left it dangling and ripped wide open. He also carried insulation through our home to only throw it in our clean, garbage can that had no liner (as we had previously emptied the garbage). The inspection came back with a list of items (some we were expecting), but some were outrageous claims and were ultimately going to cost us a fortune. We truly feel in our gut, that the prospective buyer(thank God they backed out….their LOSS), broker and inspector were in kahoots with each other so we would drastically lower our price. We didnt budge and sold our home 18k OVER asking. I read another review who stated he rubutts less than 5 star reviews.
Recently used this inspector (Mike) for a buyer’s home inspection. His inspection was careless and cursory at best. Approximately 1/2 of the items on my report were identified by me, not him. For example, a leaking toilet, rot in the structural members under a deck. Both of these items were cleared as serviceable by him until I pointed out what seemed like obvious flaws. The largest oversight was extensive structural water damage on an external wall. Localized bubbling paint should have pointed towards a moisture issue. A light push or tap on the wall reveals that it is soft. Now I am left with a mess to resolve that should have been identified by my expensive home inspection. Contractors who have looked at this damage saw it from a mile away. His inspection leaves you with the feeling that he is working for the real estate agent and trying to help sell the house.
