Founded in 2008, Green Apple Home Inspections has inspected thousands of properties within New York City. The company consists of the founder, Kenny, and his partners, Edmond and Benny. We specialize in the inspection of condos, apartments, and co-ops, but also have extensive experience in inspecting private homes. We are licensed by New York State to conduct home and termite inspections.

We hired Green Apple to inspect a home we made an offer on. August 10, 2020 12:06 pm

Benny arrived on time ready to go. He did an incredibly thorough job and pointed out some expensive repair issues which we are now negotiating with the seller. This was the first inspection I ever had done for a house. I previously owned a coop apartment for which I received a typed report. Green Apple’s reports are detailed, well documented and are supported by photos. I don’t know if this is standard practice but having photos has facilitated estimates for repairs and in the negotiations with the seller. I highly recommend them.

Green Apple takes home inspections very seriously and are very professional. I trusted Edmond to complete 3 inspections for me and was so glad I did! I had time to rescind offers for apartments that were hiding invisible, BIG issues! I have used inspectors in other cities and they don’t come close to the professionalism and thoroughness of Green Apple

Benny at Green Apple came highly recommended by a trusted friend who had recently purchased an apartment in NYC — she described Benny as “incorruptible,” which put me at ease. As a first-time home buyer myself, I felt very overwhelmed by the process and was desperate to find knowledgeable professionals in whom I could place my trust. While my broker explained that most people who buy co-op apartments don’t opt for home inspections (this was shocking to me!), I knew I wouldn’t feel confident making the biggest purchase of my life without one. Benny was everything I hoped for and more. Prompt, professional, prepared for everything, and a kind, reassuring person to work with. He arrived early to our appointment (on a holiday!) so that by the time I met him he’d already examined the exterior of the building. He was very thorough during the inspection, answered all of my questions and explained everything clearly. He worked with the building super to gain access to the basement and meter room. If I had been purchasing a top-floor unit, he also would have insisted upon examining the roof. After the inspection, Benny sent me a VERY detailed report with photos indicating what should/could be fixed, whether immediately or down the road. if you are looking for an inspector with integrity to help you understand exactly what you are buying.
