Inspection Protection

I used Randy on a home inspection, for a home I purchased. Randy came highly recommended from my real estate agent and he told me about the brand new roof and what a great job they did. What he did not catch was that no drip edge was installed on half of the house, which is causing the water from rain to drift between the house and the gutter and get on the foundation. It has the potential of creating a situation where water is going between the house in the siding. So far there’s no evidence the water is going behind the siding, but I have to fix the issue to prevent that from happening. I could either do a cheap fix or the right fix. The right fix is probably at least few grand from the estimates that I got so far. A few grand, if we don’t find any other isssues when we fix this. I’ve been in the house less than a month. Randy is a good guy, but I would avoid hiring him OR make sure you get a roofer to inspect the roof & gutter system.

He was so thorough and knowledgeable. He walked through every system and explained everything to the level of my understanding. He caught some things the home owner wasn’t aware of and things I did not know and never would have caught. It was worth every penny we spend and saved us thousands of dollars in repairs. We were able to negotiate things so we were OK. I would whole hearted recommend him.
