Ken Melton is the owner and inspector of Ken Melton Home Inspections. He has been in the professional home inspection business since 1993. Before pursuing a career as a home inspector, Ken had a successful career of 17 years in test and evaluation of nuclear submarines. Ken was involved in all phases of submarine acoustics from rotating machinery condition analysis, sound silencing, and the installation and test of advanced sonar systems for the United States Navy. Ken believes that his test and evaluation experience and attention to detail, was helpful in his transition into his new career. He is truly dedicated to this industry, and his education and experience set him apart from other home inspectors.

I’ve been working with Ken and Garnet for many years. Ken is always honest and direct. He offers a lot of insight as well.
The Kens, also known as Trouble and Maker, were so polite and very thorough during the home inspection, making sure I understood everything I needed to have fixed; what was major and little suggestions to look out for in the future.
During our home inspection, both Ken and son kept me informed about everything that was going on. . He even made suggestions on who I should call and how to get certain areas treated. He was definitely worth the money!!!
