As our hone was flooded we were told the washer wasn’t cover, when we asked if we could add it on that day, they said that while the office that does that is in, they were not accepting any updates. So we updated the policy online and of course bc warranty is apparently a racket they said they won’t cover it. This is expected of our any insurance or warranty racket just disappointed to hear that the coverage we thought we paid for we didn’t get. It goes without saying to read the fine print, but don’t expect support or any real help for this company.
Update 4/21 I have to say that after a rough run Jessica at HomeGuard reached out and made things right. She was extremely kind apologetic and understanding. She also assured me training was being provided to the accounting team. Thank you Jessica for doing a wonderful job taking care of customers. Let me start off by saying that my interaction with this company started off fantastic. I ordered a HomeGuard Home/Roof/Pest inspection through the recommendation of our Realtor. The inspectors where fantastic! Knowledgable and provided quotes on work that needed to be done. We were so happy with them and the service we received we were going to give this company the work they quoted This is where it all went downhill. In order to save $50 I elected to pay for the inspection directly rather than have it billed to our escrow account. I went home that evening and used the companies website they use a third party processing company to do this. I work in payment gateway and processing so this was not unusual. I entered all my payment info and submitted my order. I was then presented with a white blank screen. Okay I know there are payment glitches so I checked my bank account and I saw the charge for $615.00 to HomeGuard. I know this could be just a temporary hold so checked it the next day and funds were deducted. Cool. Done.
I recommend HomeGuard to all of my clients for inspections. They’re quick to schedule, the inspectors are knowledgeable, and the value package for inspections is a great deal.
