Jeff at LEHI did our inspection for a home we purchased recently. He came recommended by the seller/realtor, and that right there should have raised a red flag, but my wife and I were caught up in the excitement of our first home purchase. The guy missed numerous problems with the house. He brought his daughter with him to the appointment, and seemed more concerned about talking about how knowledgeable he was, and about how great and experienced he was, than performing a proper and thorough inspection. He missed an electrical short with the light fixtures in the hallway, which could have caused a fire. He didn’t notice the A/C wasn’t working. He didn’t notice the termite damage in the garage and the shed. A piece of siding was installed improperly and loose, causing water damage inside the wall, which he didnt notice. He didn’t notice the improper grading around the house which cause storm water to flow back toward the house causing flooding around the house and water leaking through basement walls. I would never recommend this company to anyone, as a matter of fact I would strongly urge anyone to not use this company.
