Like My Own Home Inspections was first conceived when my daughter and her husband were in the market for a home. Although very intelligent and highly educated people, they knew very little about what to look for in a house. With my experience I was able to tour several of the houses they were looking at and point out the pros and cons of each.

It occurred to me that I could help other first time homebuyers and other homebuyers understand the components of their home. Like I did for my daughter, my idea was to inspect the home as if I were buying it myself. I vow to put that kind of effort in every inspection and be available to my clients throughout the home buying experience.

We had a great experience with Mike from Like My Own Home Inspections. They have an excellent web site that explains their history and the excellent reviews are what allowed us to trust Mike to inspect the house for us. Mike arrived early and was extremely thorough with all areas of the inside and outside of the house. He took the time to explain what he was looking at and what he was seeing. Anything that he saw that might need attention, Mike explained to us in detail and was also documented in his 32 page report that included pictures. Mike’s knowledge and understanding of what he was doing gave us the confidence in his company.

Tom inspected the house for us. August 24, 2020 7:40 am

He is not only professional and thorough, but also friendly and kind. When I arrived at the site late, Tom was already finished the inspection. He still showed me around and explained all his findings patiently. The same day evening I received his report with all minor and major issues of the house along with his recommendations. I highly recommend him when you need a reliable home inspector.
