Martin's Home Inspectors

5.0/5 3 Reviews Add Review

20 years as a full time home inspector for real estate transactions. Some inspectors claim to have many years in the “business” but not as a full time home inspector.

As a veteran home inspector I understand the work it takes for realtors and home buyers to get to the home inspection part of the transaction. I take great pride in owning my own business and going above and beyond the scope of a standard home inspection. Other prior experience include; building maintenance supervisor, foundation construction and over 50 certificates for continuing education for home inspector license and ASHI requirements. Inspector carries a Realtor Sentricard. This enables the inspector to access the house if the real estate agent is not able to attend. It also is great for setting and retrieving radon tests without the assistance from the agent or home owner.

I am a Realtor and have been using Dan Martin for years.

I am a Realtor and have been using Dan Martin for years. He is one of the most professional and comprehensive Home Inspectors you will ever find. I would advise anyone who wants a home inspector that knows his stuff to use Dan. I have seen plenty of good and bad home inspectors. Dan is one of the great ones.

Absolutly the best…hands down! As a Real Estate agent
5.0

Absolutly the best…hands down! As a Real Estate agent I have seen a lot of good and bad home inspections. From inspectors who blow through it in 30min, missing thousands of dollars in potential issues to inspectors who spend way too long to pick apart little things and create needless worry for my clients. Dan has been consistently amazing with each of my clients. Not only does he do a thorough home inspection but he also takes extra time to educate my clients about the everyday maintenance and functionality of their new home. His personality is wonderful, his prices are fair and his inspection reports are concise and easy to understand. Having done over 5,000 inspections his experience speaks for itself. Trust me when I say that time and experience makes makes a good home inspector…not a quick community college class and blue crustacean on your shirt.

Missed over $25K (and counting) in easily identifiable issues, stay away.

Missed over $25K (and counting) in easily identifiable issues, stay away. In the first 6 weeks since taking ownership, the 2nd fl AC was completely shot ($4k), entry step fell off, needs to re-done ($4k), the basement transformer boxes for all of the low voltage outdoor features are both not functioning with 2 wire nuts melting off almost causing a fire ($5k), non functioning sink faucet or drain ($750), rodent infestation ($500, 3 mice and counting), waterfall system completely unusable ($9k), clogged gutters caused $3k in water damage, clogged shower drain in first week. I asked about inspecting the roof and he said there’s no need to. He caught about $300 worth of items, so it’s not all so terrible.
