NJ Home Inspection Engineers NJ Licensed Home Inspectors & Engineers Home Maintenance Tips After the home inspection is completed, and just before you officially close on the home you are buying, you should do a “Walk-Through Inspection” to make sure that conditions in the home have not changed since you last visited the home. You should check all plumbing fixtures for operation, check for any new roof damage, window damage, etc. You can use a Walk-Through Checklist for this purpose. After you own the home, regular inspections & maintenance to the home is vital if you want to keep the home in good condition. Deferred maintenance, or no maintenance at all, will result in more expense in the long run.
A home is complex system of interrelated components and systems. As a home ages the components of the home wear, and eventually will fail to perform adequately. A systematic and regular program of home maintenance is a good idea for any home
I called last week and scheduled an inspection for Monday or Tuesday of this week. I spoke to Dan yesterday and was advised that he would let me know yesterday (Monday) afternoon what time today would work. Never received a call yesterday and three calls today went unanswered nor returned. Not someone I would want to do business with in the future.
Compared to the other two home inspections I have had in the past, this was the best by far. Super qualified and patient explaining everything to me. The report, which was emailed to me a few days later clearly showed what was wrong and was was ok. Report has pictures and puts recommendations for repair etc in bold face so you can not miss them. Thanks Dan for a great inspection.
