Showed up on time, and was kind and spent the 3 hours going through the house. But aside from looking at stuff, it is a waste of money. He will point out useless stuff like sidewalks, but when it comes to things that apply to the house that are important, you might as well do it yourself. Art spotted a window sill that was rotted, and glossed over it as “just replace the sill”. Well, 2 months later I dig into the sill, and discover the entire wall is rotted and crawling with ants and termites. The siding was installed improperly, and looking at it now I can see water was being directed behind the siding. Something a visual inspection could have caught.
Of course, our agent recommended this company. They never tested the washer/dryer to make sure it’s operational, the washer doesn’t work and cost $1,000 to remove. My inspector was Arthur Staffiere ( Franchise Owner) and he’s been very unresponsive and keeps ignoring my questions. Another huge issue that is costing me $5k is my hot water heater. The wrong type of water heater was installed and the whole pipe is wrong and it should of been something he should of caught. He’s continuing to ignore my emails and I can’t even get back a refund for my inspection when I paid for the most expensive package that’s says money back guaranteed if not satisfied.
