My entire working career has been one of service, and being an inspector continues that tradition. Serving our country as a Naval Officer in the Submarine Force encompassed the first 20 years (12 years active duty, 8 years in the reserves). Following active duty I became an educator, spending 23 years serving children in a variety of positions. In 2019, I retired from education and immediately immersed myself in my inspection business which was begun in 2018. My first two years were focused on single family homes as Inhabitable Home Inspections. Commercial inspections have been added to my business model in 2020 so I have transitioned to Sheldahl Property Inspections.

As a first-time homebuyer, I was incredibly pleased with the house inspection that Rick Sheldahl performed for me. Rick was INCREDIBLY HELPFUL. He far exceeded my expectations, and thoroughly answered all of the questions that I had. Communication with Rick was always easy, and I’ll be recommending Sheldahl Property Inspections to all of my friends.

He interacted with us electronically, both by email and text and we were able to complete forms and payment electronically. So efficient! Rick arrived early to the inspection and was extremely thorough in his review and recommendations for our new home. He also provided us with the inspection report within 24 hours. He was friendly and engaging and seemed to really enjoy interacting with our children (quite a bonus!). Highly recommend Rick for property inspections. Great guy, great business.

Rick was great, he provides a comprehensive report with pictures and video to really give you an idea of the property and any issues he found. He has also been very responsive to follow up questions and has been very generous with his time to clarify anything we asked for more information about. He has made himself available to use for the duration of our time owning the home and really gave us a good sense of what we were getting into when purchasing a home. I cannot recommend him enough.
