Where he really blew it out of the water was during the important part, the inspection. He was thorough, well organized, detailed, and helpful in his investigation. He took tons of pictures and walked through every issue afterwards. He was the best value and likely the best overall.

He showed up early and was able to give me a great rundown of trouble spots immediately. Definitely thorough! He’d been there over 3 hours when I went to make sure all was okay and he was under the house in the most scary looking of places checking every inch out. Always get a home inspection and if you’re lucky enough, use Spire Home Inspection.

Unfortunately neither had reviews to check the quality of their work. I found Skip on Google and he was the only local home inspector who had a number of excellent reviews. He was very thorough in both his inspection and report which identified several critical problems that needed repair before closing the transaction. After repairs were completed he came back and checked the work, which was still incomplete requiring the seller’s contractor to come back. He saved us thousands of dollars in repairs and his inspection and follow up gave us confidence in the process.
