I did not know what the typical home inspection would consist of besides a very thorough walk through. I was completely impressed with Alex and everything he had to comment on! I highly recommend using Alex as your Inspector!

Alex was an absolute pleasure to work with, from start to finish! The website was clearly laid out, and booking an appointment was a breeze. I contacted Alex ahead of time via email for a few questions regarding the process and he was very prompt in answering everything. I accompanied Alex during the entire inspection, and he was very thorough and attentive throughout. He answered all my questions and concerns, and after all was said and done, he was able to get the full inspection report to my realtor and me by the next day. I would highly recommend using Spotlight Home Inspections for anyone looking to buy a house, and needing peace of mind in their purchase.

I normally don’t write reviews on places, but Alex at Spotlight went above and beyond on inspecting the home I was buying. I had called around to some of the bigger inspection companies in St. Louis and wasn’t having much luck…they quoted me way too much or couldn’t get an agent to my house in time. I was then referred to Alex and he immediately gave me a cheaper quote over the phone and scheduled an appointment ASAP. The point of my review however is how the inspection went…he was so very thorough and detailed and professional, he really knew what he was doing and what to look for. He wasn’t there just to get it done, but he made sure EVERYTHING was seen in and out of my house. And this was during Covid. Very professional and knowledgeable. He ended up saving me money at closing after finding things that needed to be addressed, not to mention saving me time/money in the future on things to be fixed. This was my first time buying a house, so I did not know what to expect. My real estate agent was even impressed with the inspection as well after she had given me numbers to other inspectors that were a fail. Then my dad who buys/manages a lot of properties and was helping me was completely shocked by the thorough inspection report Alex sent me. Literally everything in detail from top to bottom. My dad said he was that impressed by it that he would now use Alex for his future inspections. No one else in his years of business had compared. Another thing to mention was that my roof was too awkward/steep to get on it so he went out on his own time while I was working and took a drone to inspect my roof/chimney and actually found some hidden issues. Cannot stress enough how important all this was and how grateful I am that he saved me money at closing. Definitely worth it!
