At the age of 18 while going to college I worked for a building and excavating company: Digging basements, pouring foundations, installing drain tiles and building block walls as well as installing and repairing septic tanks and drain fields and finished grading. I later went on to work in the manufacturing sector and at the age of 22 I helped build my first home (from the basement to the shingles) along with 13 other houses (as my down payment).

Over the years I have framed hundreds of homes from the foundation to the shingles and every aspect between (or have been a part of it, i.e. electrical, HVAC etc.). In 2004 I fulfilled one of my passions and acquired my Residential Builders License and formed my own company, America’s Choice Carpentry, LLC. Remodeling and restoration was the primary focus. I understand how a home is put together.

Steve was very quick to respond and spoke with us over the phone for about 20 minutes to explain thoroughly what he does and what he’d be looking for. He was able to inspect our entire home that we are buying and even showed up early to do so. He explained everything to us along the way and was very responsive even days after the inspection was over to help answer questions and give advice. He was very practical in his inspection and let us know of big issues that were found, he even did the septic. We felt very comfortable with Steve and truly valued and trusted his option as he was very knowledgeable. Our realtor is even going to start using him now bc she was very impressed with him as well. We’d recommend him to anyone!

I would highly recommend Steve. He was very thorough and methodical on his inspection. Great guy and very professional. He went the extra mile for us.

I was thoroughly impressed with the inspection Steve performed for us! I was so happy to find someone that was willing to do not only the home inspection, but also the well and septic inspection – much more convenient than trying to coordinate two companies – he was even able to get us in the day after we reached out to him. As a first time home buyer, I felt much more comfortable with the condition of my home after Steve took the time to walk my boyfriend and I around the house and show us and explain to us all of his findings. The next day, we were provided a very detailed home inspection report that included many photos. I fully intent to refer all friends and family to Steve – you will be in good hands! A very kind and experienced professional.
