Tiger Home Inspectors
The purchase of a home for many is the largest investment they will ever make. When you are in the process of purchasing a new home, you want the peace of mind that you are making an informed decision. This decision can be extremely stressful and confusing. There is always considerable risk involved when making such a large investment. However, hiring a professional home inspector will significantly reduce your risk and help make the entire home buying process easier and less stressful.
I would Highly recommend Nico’s services for anyone needing a property inspection. During the inspection he also took the time to answer my questions, educate me about the different features in the home, and give me tips on how to plan for future maintenance and improvements. I appreciated his detailed written report, which made it very easy to understand the state of the house and how best to prioritize repairs/remediations. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a thorough and honest inspection!
Who got us in on a dime when another home fell through and we were under the gun to close, to Steve who showed up and spent three hours with us, going over our new property with a fine-toothed comb. The report was delivered before I woke up the next morning, and it is clear, easy to follow, and a great guide to help us in this final stage of negotiation. We were recommended by Radius Financial (whom I also powerfully recommend), and we are so grateful – we will recommend to everyone we know as the ONLY company to use!
Kevin from Tiger came early, stayed for 2 hours, checked every inch of the place out, from the attic to the very back of the crawl space where There was only about 18” of clearance. The detailed report was delivered the following day and helped my wife and I plan our purchase strategy -the building needed some sub par structural, plumbing, and electrical conditions corrected and we felt that the cost of these repairs should be factored into our deal. Our buyer’s agent was able to get some contractors to get quotes for the work, and used the Tiger inspection report to notify the Sellers of the conditions. So we were able to use the inspection to identify poor conditions and negotiate purchase terms which reflected the truer costs of owning the building. We normally don’t use home inspectors. I’m pretty handy and have worked on wood frame Victorian houses in the Boston area for basically my whole life. I’m pretty confident in most areas of home repair… and I’m not easily phased… but this purchase was a little bit different. This was a three-season six bedroom cottage set on cinder block pilings. Things looked a bit messy underneath, so this case we called Tiger. We had used them 21 years ago for a property in the city and thought they were polite, on time, and thorough, so we looked them up again and were very glad we did. We saved $9,300 and we’re able to really gain peace of mind in knowledge that we had really chased down all of the loose ends.
