We are primarily concerned with the major systems that comprise a house: roof and building envelope, structure, heating, plumbing, and electrical. There are a lot of smaller items we look at too, but it’s important to look at a house from a macro view, and try not to get too caught up in the details. Every single house has problems. All of them. What we’re trying to help you do is establish where the house is at on the scale of problems. There are “normal” problems, and there are “oh shit” problems. It’s good to know about the former and critical to know about the latter.
We highly recommend Mark for any home inspection! We were impressed with the process from start to finish. The website is well-laid out, easy to use and has answers to nearly any question you could have. Mark was very accommodating with our tight schedule and was quick to respond to all communications. When it came time for the inspection, he was early and ensured he caught us up on his initial findings. Every step of the way, he provided detailed explanations and offered advice for any professionals we should have inspect an area further. Once the inspection was over, we received electronic versions of the requested reports, which were quite comprehensive, had embedded links to photos/videos he took during the visit, and easy to follow. Again, a big thanks to Mark!
Mark is a great guy to work with. Spent over 4 hours to go over every little detail while taking the time to explain and simplify complex technical concepts. Very through and knowledgeable indeed. Price was very reasonable and far less than what I expected.
He was very pleasant to work with and explained everything in a way we could understand. We were also able to get some money knocked off the house we are purchasing due to Marks expertise. With all that being said he’s very affordable and doesn’t nickel and dime you for things other inspectors will up charge you for. Highly recommend.
