Hired Don to perform a house inspection of a lake that we had contracted to purchase as a year round residence — hiring Don was the best money I’ve ever spent. My wife found him online and was impressed with his top notch reviews. I spoke with Don and seemed to know his business. He arrived early and began his meticulous inspection. He crawled up into the attic and into an incredibly dirty 3 foot crawl space that looked like dead bodies could have been buried. He spent 15 -20 minutes in there and came out dripping in sweat. He found disconnected duct work and inadequate insulation in the attic. In the crawl space, he found four large cracks in the foundation, improper wiring, subfloor insulation that was incorrectly installed, and much more. By the next morning, he delivered a comprehensive 50 page report of all the items that needed repair, replacement or needed addressing by a new owner. It revealed so much evidence of shoddy maintenance that it opened our eyes and resulted in walking away from a potential money pit. I would use Don again in a heartbeat. The thorough written report complete with pictures provides any buyer with a great assessment of a significant potential investment. I’ve never had a home inspection this good. Most inspectors would not have gone into a crawl space and been so thorough in his detailed inspection. Thank you, Don!
